Terms of use
Effective from 12 October 2026. These terms govern the use of conved.com – the website, user accounts, the REST API, the command-line tool and the MCP server for AI assistants.
1. Who we are
The service is operated by Synetix, s.r.o., company ID 26953030, Kytnerova 7, 621 00 Brno, Czech Republic (“we”). Contact: info@conved.com.
By using the website, creating an account or connecting an application to your account, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
- conved.com converts files between formats. It is free of charge and comes with no commitment to any particular availability, speed or range of supported formats; we may change features and formats.
- Use is subject to limits (conversions per hour, file size). Current limits are shown on the website, on the AI & API page and in the documentation; we may adjust them, in particular to protect our servers.
- The page where you wait for a conversion to finish may show advertising.
3. Your account
- You create an account with your email address (confirmed with a one-time code) or by our invitation. Use an email address you have access to.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including API tokens and connected applications. Keep tokens as safe as a password; if you suspect misuse, revoke the token or disconnect the application in your account.
- Each person or organisation should have one free account. Creating further accounts to get around the limits is not allowed.
- You can delete your account at any time in your account (Delete account) or ask us to do it at info@conved.com. This deletes your API tokens, connected applications, conversion history and any results still stored; other data is handled as described in the privacy policy.
4. AI assistants and connected applications
- A connected application (for example an AI assistant using MCP) acts on your behalf within the access you grant: it converts files and can see your account email, conversion history and limits.
- Applications and AI assistants are run by third parties. We are not responsible for how they behave, for the instructions you give them or for the content they produce. Data processed in them is governed by their operators’ terms.
- You can disconnect an application at any time in your account (Connected applications).
5. Your files
- You keep all rights to the files you convert. You confirm that you have the rights needed to convert them – this includes files and videos from links, which you may convert only in line with copyright law and the terms of the platform concerned.
- We store and process files only to convert them and deliver the result. We do not read their content, use it for any other purpose or use it to train artificial intelligence.
- Uploaded files are deleted right after the conversion (unconverted ones within 24 hours), results after 14 days. We do not keep an archive – keep your originals.
6. What is not allowed
You must not use the service for unlawful purposes, in particular to convert or distribute content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others, to spread malicious code, to attack the service or other systems (including links to internal addresses), to get around the limits or flood the service with automated requests, or to resell the service without our agreement. If you break these rules we may refuse a conversion, delete files, restrict or block your account or access and, where justified, inform the authorities.
7. Liability
We provide the service as it is. A conversion between formats may not preserve everything – for example fonts, layout, metadata or quality – so check the result before you rely on it. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of data, lost profits or indirect damage arising from the use of the service. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence) or your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We publish the new version on this page with its effective date and notify account holders of material changes by email in advance. If you do not agree with a change, you can delete your account; by continuing to use the service you accept it.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic; consumers keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where they live. Consumers may use the Czech Trade Inspection Authority for out-of-court dispute resolution (adr.coi.cz). Other disputes are decided by the Czech courts. Please send questions and complaints to info@conved.com.
